The Unreal Campaign: How to Become the Smartest Consumer Ever
Thank you for participating in this special program focusing on trademarks and counterfeiting. We are enthusiastic about the partnership involving the INTA, Street Law, Inc., and Constitutional Rights Foundation and we hope that your students enjoy the lesson and learn about the consumer issues brought on by trademark counterfeiting.
This packet has everything needed for the two-day lesson. The INTA volunteer will be getting in touch with you. After you look over the lesson there are a couple of areas where the presenter could use some assistance including:
- Pre-session materials — the lesson includes a pre-session homework assignment that raises some questions for students to consider about counterfeiting. Will you distribute that sheet to students a day or two before the lesson begins?
- Technology — Is there a computer, projector and/screen available for the presenter to show the Presentation: Unreal: Fake or Genuine (Day 1, Part 2 #8) and the Never A Bargain video (Day 1, Part II, #9)? Will you let the presenter know about the availability of the right technology so that he/she can prepare?
- Small Groups — The lesson involves students working in small groups on assignments starting during the first day and extending into the second day. Will you divide the students into small groups (4-5 students) ahead of the scheduled class so that they are ready to go on the first day of the lesson.
We would like to have some pictures of the students and their work perhaps during the final phase of the lesson when students are reporting on the results of their small group work. We have provided a student and adult release form.
